This volcano\u2019s activity lasted just nine days, but it devastated the town and its port. Formed by lava flows, they have hardly been modified by mankind. Only a small, stepped path has been created to allow you to access its crystal-clear waters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The largest pool <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is also the calmest. Almost entirely surrounded by walls of volcanic rock, it lets water flow out through a small recess at its furthest end. <\/span><b>The smallest<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, on the other hand, is shaped like a chute and the sea enters more forcefully \u2013 though it\u2019s not dangerous.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Without a doubt, these are <\/span><b>two of the natural pools of northern Tenerife<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that have best retained their natural state. Sin embargo, en este caso, su formaci\u00f3n no se debe a los volcanes, sino a la mano del hombre.<\/p><p>Situada junto a la peque\u00f1a cala de la localidad, proporciona una tranquila zona de ba\u00f1o\u00a0<b>delimitada por un dique y un muro<\/b>. Desde la amplia plataforma que forma este \u00faltimo, se puede acceder al agua por una rampa o mediante escaleras.<\/p><p>El dique se encarga de contener el mar, con la previsi\u00f3n suficiente de que con la marea alta las aguas lo rebasen.
