The Feast of the Epiphany commemorates the arrival of the Three Wise Men – Melchior, Gaspar and Balthasar – to Bethlehem, where the baby Jesus had just been born. To find the new king of the Jews, they followed the stars, calling on their knowledge of astronomy and set off on the long journey from the East.

Route of the 2024 Three Kings’ Parade in Tenerife
The 2024 Three Kings’ Parade in Tenerife will start at 19:00 on the 5th of January on Av. Bélgica. As well as the stars of the show, their Majesties from the East, the parade will also feature a host of other attractions. There’s floats, actors, extras, musicians, dance troupes, fantastic images and incredible entertainment.
The magic and the joy of this unique night fill the streets of Tenerife with the sound of the laughter, eyes full of wonder and the little ones’ excitement.
This year, the parade sets off from Avenida de Bélgica and continues along Plaza de la Paz, Rambla de Pulido and Méndez Núñez. After reaching El Pilar, it continues along Villalba Hervás and La Marina before finishing up in Plaza de La Candelaria.
Did you know that, throughout this entire route, brimming with light and joy, a royal town crier announces the arrival of the Three Kings? Not only that, they also explain what rules kids must follow at home if they are to receive gifts during the night. Mainly, go to bed early and behave themselves.
Receiving gifts and treats at the Parade
Just like every year, those participating in the 2024 Santa Cruz de Tenerife Three Kings’ Parade throw sweets into the crowds of people lining the streets. Kids usually take a stash of sweets home with them, as well a whole load of joy. This is an amazing sneak peek of the presents they’ll wake up to in the morning.
Just like the Wise Men took gold, frankincense and myrrh to the baby Jesus in the manger, they visit the children of today bearing gifts. Kids who have been well-behaved this year get what they’ve always wanted, while the more mischievous will get a bag of coal and learn a valuable lesson.
The traditional ring-shaped Roscón de Reyes cake adds a touch of sweetness to this magical night brimming with joy. Be careful when cutting it, because there might be a surprise inside!
Activities before and after the Parade
The 2024 Santa Cruz de Tenerife Three Kings’ Parade isn’t the only fun-filled event for all the family that you can enjoy at this time of year. The Council has lined up a programme of more than two hundred Christmas events, kicking off with the big switch on that takes place on 23rd November.
The Nativity Scene, located in Plaza de La Candelaria, the Kids’ New Year’s Eve Party on 31st December – from 11:00 to 14:00 – and the Christmas Market are just some of them. What’s more, the Casa del Carnaval has no shortage of Christmas activities running until the 4th of January.
Just before the 2024 Three Kings’ Parade in Tenerife, the Heliodoro Rodríguez stadium welcomes their Majesties from the East in another unforgettable party. On the 5th of January, from 17:00, family-filled fun is guaranteed.
